  1. An important topic to discuss Yasiru. Training and development are essential components of human resource management that provide numerous benefits to organisations. One of the primary benefits is that training and development can enhance employees' skills, knowledge, and abilities, leading to improved job performance and productivity (Noe, 2013). Also, training and development can help organisations address skill gaps and prepare employees for new roles and responsibilities, which can improve succession planning and career advancement opportunities (Noe, 2013). Another benefit of training and development is that it can improve employee engagement and retention, as employees who receive opportunities for growth and development are more likely to be satisfied and committed to their organizations (Noe, 2013). Training and development are crucial for organizations to remain competitive, adapt to changing market conditions, and cultivate a skilled and engaged workforce.
